Faso Mªbo Initiative Launches in Ioba with Over 560,000 CFA Francs and 8 Tons of Cement Donations

Ioba: More than 560,000 CFA francs and more than 8 tons of cement were recorded at the launch of Faso Mªbo, a presidential initiative, as announced by the High Commissioner of the Ioba Province, Innocents Ouattara. The official donation reception event took place following the raising of the national flag in Dano.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was held at the High Commission in Dano, attended by government officials and key stakeholders from the province. High Commissioner Innocents Ouattara emphasized the significance of the Faso Mªbo initiative, which translates to "Burkina Faso is being built," and reiterated its foundational goals.

Ouattara stated, "This initiative reminds us that the development of our country depends on the voluntary contribution of each of its sons and daughters. The call for contributions launched within this framework is an invitation to join forces to support the actions undertaken for the well-being of the population and the strengthening of social cohesion."

The initiative has sparked considerable enthusiasm among the population. In the Dj´r´ region, donation receipts began on October 24, 2025, following the project's launch on February 21 in Gaoua. The provincial authorities of Ioba have also initiated the collection of donations to encourage collective mobilization around this cause.

The High Commissioner made a public appeal to various sectors, including public and private services, economic operators, civil society organizations, community and religious leaders, and all citizens of the province, to contribute according to their means. Ouattara assured donors that their contributions would be managed with transparency and responsibility by the provincial committee set up for this purpose.

At the launch, the committee recorded donations totaling 564,800 CFA francs, 8 tons and 13 bags of cement, along with six wheelbarrows, six shovels, two pickaxes, and two trays of corn. Donations in kind and cash are being received at the High Commission in Dano on working days.

The head of the Ioba province expressed gratitude to all supporting bodies for their dedication to initiatives aimed at enhancing the living conditions of the population.
