FASO ARZEKA Platform Introduced to Ministry Personnel for Tax Payment Awareness

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Brigadier General C©lestin SIMPORE, along with Secretary General Jean-Baptiste PARKOUDA, led an awareness-raising ceremony focused on Tax Citizenship and introduced the national digital payment platform, FASO ARZEKA.



According to Burkina Information Agency, this session was a part of the activities for the 2nd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) organized by the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs. The Minister acknowledged the strong mobilization of participants and urged his colleagues to meet their tax obligations, emphasizing the importance of civic duty and patriotism. He also encouraged attentive listening to the presentations by representatives from the General Directorate of the Treasury and Public Accounting and the General Directorate of Taxes.



Ali Ky, a Tax Inspector, discussed the payment of residence tax, motor vehicle tax, and weapons tax, highlighting the necessity for citizens to meet their tax obligations as a form of patriotism and civic engagement. His presentation led to active discussions among attendees.



Marcellin BENON from the General Directorate of the Treasury and Public Accounting provided an overview of the FASO ARZEKA digital payment platform, detailing the registration and payment procedures for various taxes and duties on the platform. He demonstrated a real-life example of a residence tax payment, which was well-received and spurred further discussions, indicating significant interest in the platform.



In conclusion, the Minister expressed gratitude to the representatives for the informative session and encouraged all Ministry officials to ensure their tax rights are up to date.
