T©nado: The T©nado health district in the Center-West region reverberated on May 8 and 9 with the celebrations of the Days of Excellence, 2025 edition, under the theme of digitalization, as observed by AIB on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, themed "Digitization and Improving the Quality of Health Services for the Benefit of the Population," brought focus to key players in local healthcare. Festivities commenced on May 7 with a community cross-country race and eye injury screenings for seniors, leading up to the main awards ceremony held on May 8 at the MCA Hall.
Health facilities such as CSPS of Tita, Poa, and Laba, along with health workers, were awarded for their excellence in areas including epidemiological surveillance, reproductive health, and electronic consultations. Additional recognition was given for efforts in EPI, malnutrition management, and community engagement. The Balianvals© and Koalio COGES were honored for their community involvement, with winners receiving certificates and gifts.
The provincial High Commissioner, Talari Germaine Ouoba, presided over the ceremony and commended the health workers, emphasizing their role in the sector's digital transformation. Dr. Hamado Sawadogo, the district health chief, also highlighted the importance of a competent and motivated staff.
The event sponsor, Bahiom© Bationo, coordinator of the Union of Women's Groups/CDN of R©o, pledged to combat malnutrition in his community. Dr. Mohamed Anicet Karl Kpoda, the Regional Director of Health for the Centre-West, expressed gratitude to health workers, ASBCs, and COGES for their dedication to providing quality care.
