Bobo-dioulasso: The Regional Directorate of Penitentiary Administration under the Bobo-Dioulasso Court of Appeal has welcomed a new head as Principal Penitentiary Security Inspector, Evariste Dalla, known as TOE, officially took office. The official ceremony, marking the transition, was held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the directorate's headquarters.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the appointment of Evariste Dalla as the new Regional Director was made by the Council of Ministers during its session on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The installation of Dalla was conducted by the Deputy Director General of the Penitentiary Administration, Principal Penitentiary Security Inspector Frederic Ouedraogo. Dalla takes over from Principal Penitentiary Security Inspector Etienne Kagambega, who has been reassigned to other duties.

Later in the day, the official handover ceremony took place at the Bobo-Dioulasso Governorate, overseen by Souleymane Nakanabo, the Secretary General of the Guiriko Region. During the ceremony, the outgoing Regional Director, Etienne Kagambega, expressed his well-wishes for Dalla's success in his new role.

Evariste Dalla, known as Toe, acknowledged the efforts of his predecessor and emphasized his dedication to advancing the State's policy and vision for the prison system. He called upon all staff members to uphold the principles of diligence and patriotism in fulfilling this "collective mission."

The event was attended by numerous administrative, judicial, military, and paramilitary authorities, as well as representatives from the local population, underscoring the significance of the Penitentiary Administration's mission.

The Regional Directorate of Penitentiary Administration of the Court of Appeal of Bobo-Dioulasso oversees several penitentiary institutions, including the remand and correction houses in Bobo-Dioulasso, Banfora, Orodara, Gaoua, Diebougou, Boromo, Dedougou, Nouna, and Tougan.
