Evangelical Church of Angola to Construct Educational Facility in Bengo

Bengo: The Evangelical Church of Angola (IEA) has announced plans to construct a school with 14 classrooms in the municipality of Barra do Dande, located in the province of Bengo. The project, which aims to enhance educational infrastructure in the region, is budgeted at 180 million kwanzas. Funding for the initiative will be sourced from both the church's members and the state, which is partnering in this endeavor.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the new educational facility will feature two floors, including 14 classrooms, dedicated spaces for teachers, a computer room, a small library, and an administrative area. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Sunday, led by Reverend Domingos Garcia Zola, the general secretary of the IEA, in a special service attended by local residents, invited guests, and representatives from the municipal administration.

Reverend Afonso Joo Miguel, the Regional Pastor of the IEA in Bengo, emphasized the church's dedication to driving social change through such projects.

'The Church is at the forefront of building a better society. Investing in education is investing in people, in their future and in the future of the country', declared the religious leader.
