CAIRO - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), leaders from various European nations have extended their congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
According to Namibia Press Agency, prominent European figures conveyed their commendations and commitments to strengthening ties with China. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic praised China's global development contributions and initiatives such as the Belt and Road and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind. Vucic expressed Serbia's eagerness to collaborate with China to build a shared community in the new era.
Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok recognized China as a significant force on the international stage, reaffirming Hungary's desire to continue its partnership, deepen cooperation across various fields, and pursue shared development objectives.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier noted China's proactive responses to global challenges, including climate change. He stressed the importance of enhanced bilateral cooperation, expressing optimism for further consolidation and deepening of Germany-China relations.
Italian President Sergio Mattarella highlighted the rich historical and strategic depth of Italy and China as ancient civilizations. He emphasized the potential contributions both nations can make to international peace and conflict resolution, expressing Italy's readiness to deepen practical cooperation with China to advance bilateral relations.
President of the Swiss Confederation Viola Amherd described the Switzerland-China relationship as a deep and stable innovative strategic partnership. She voiced strong belief in the future deepening of cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
