Ethiopia’s President Welcomes New Ambassadors from Six Countries


Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – President Sahle-Work Zewde received the credentials of six new ambassadors to Ethiopia, highlighting the nation’s ongoing diplomatic efforts. The ceremony, which saw the accreditation of envoys from South Sudan, Mali, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Jamaica, and India, underscored Ethiopia’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with these countries.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, President Sahle-Work expressed the government’s readiness to support the ambassadors throughout their tenure, aiming to strengthen Ethiopia’s ties with each of the represented nations. This event follows closely on the heels of another ceremony where the president received credentials from 11 ambassadors, indicating a robust phase of diplomatic engagement for Ethiopia.
