Addis Ababa: Ethiopia’s House of Peoples Representatives has approved the appointment of five ministers. The House convened for its second regular session, where the appointments were endorsed with a majority vote, with one member voting against and two abstaining.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the newly appointed ministers include Shewit Shanka as Minister of Culture and Sports, Hanna Arayaselassie as Minister of Justice, Selamawit Kassa as Minister of Tourism, Gedion Timothewos as Foreign Affairs Minister, and Kassahun Gofe as Trade and Regional Integration Minister. Chief Government Whip Tesfaye Beljige emphasized that these appointments reflect the government’s commitment to incorporating young ministers who have demonstrated their capabilities through practical experience.
