Ethiopia’s Finance Minister Engages in Talks with UNICEF Deputy Executive Director

ADDIS ABABA – Finance Minister Ahmed Shide met with UNICEF’s Deputy Executive Director for Humanitarian Action and Supply Operations, Edward Chaiban, to discuss Ethiopia’s developmental and humanitarian landscape.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Ministry of Finance reported that the discussion centered on addressing Ethiopia’s immediate challenges, including the impacts of climate change and drought. Both parties acknowledged the importance of a timely and increased response from international partners to these crises. Chaiban affirmed UNICEF’s support for Ethiopia’s efforts towards stability, recovery, and a comprehensive approach to humanitarian and development needs.
