Addis ababa: Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) has entered into a partnership agreement with Dodai, a prominent electric mobility company, to enhance sustainable transportation across Ethiopia. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by EIH CEO Brook Taye and Dodai’s founder and CEO Yuma Sasaki, focuses on developing a substantial network of battery swap stations for electric vehicles.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the partnership will see the establishment of 100 battery swap stations in Addis Ababa within the next 12 months, with plans to expand to a total of 300 stations, including in Sheger city, over the next three years. This initiative is designed to significantly advance the adoption of electric mobility in the region.
