Ethiopian Foreign Minister Meets Italian Parliamentary Delegation to Discuss Bilateral and Regional Issues

Addis Ababa – Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Taye Atske Selassie, hosted a meeting with an Italian parliamentary delegation led by Senator Stefania Craxi, head of the Senate Foreign Affairs and Defense Commission. The discussions focused on a range of bilateral, regional, and multilateral concerns.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, both sides reviewed the strengthening relationship between Ethiopia and Italy, highlighting the Italian government’s supportive stance across various sectors. Ambassador Taye expressed appreciation for Italy’s realistic approach to assisting Ethiopia. The talks also covered development and security challenges facing the Horn of Africa, with a particular emphasis on the transformative potential of development projects alongside humanitarian aid. The importance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional security challenges was also a key point of agreement, underscoring the need for cooperation and understanding among all stakeholders involved.
