ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines has announced a significant expansion into the hospitality sector through a new partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office. This collaboration involves the management of the ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ lodges, marking a pivotal development in Ethiopia’s tourism industry.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed, designating the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel to operate and manage several lodges, including the Chebera Churchura Elephant Paw Lodge, Halala Kella Lodge, Gorgora Ecolodge, and Wonchi EcoLodge. This strategic partnership is set to enhance the tourism experience by leveraging Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive expertise in hospitality to provide top-tier services to visitors.
CEO Mesfin Tasew highlighted the synergy between tourism and air transport services, noting Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to promoting tourism alongside its core operations of passenger and cargo transport. “We are delighted to join hands with the Prime Minister’s Office to elevate the hospitality experience in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Airlines Skylight hotel is renowned for its commitment to excellence, and we are excited to extend our expertise to these remarkable lodges,” he stated.
