Addis Ababa – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia has indicated that the country’s accomplishments in the agricultural sector are now being mirrored in its industrial endeavors. This shift comes as Ethiopia seeks to broaden its economic base and foster growth across multiple sectors.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Defense Engineering Industry Corporation, following a series of structural reforms and leadership changes, is now engaging in significant activities. The corporation is focusing on reverse engineering to develop strategic weapons, rockets, and tanks. Abiy Ahmed emphasized that these advancements are pivotal for Ethiopia’s aspirations towards national and continental prosperity.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the need to accelerate progress across all sectors, leveraging Ethiopia’s human capacity to build a more prosperous future for the nation.
