Ethiopia Pledges Continued Support to the African Union, Discusses Institutional Reforms

Addis ababa: The Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the African Union and UNECA, Ambassador Hirut Zemene, presented her Letters of Credence to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat today.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, during the ceremony, Ambassador Hirut and Chairperson Mahamat exchanged views on various topics including the progress of the ongoing Institutional Reforms of the African Union and efforts to enhance cooperation between Ethiopia and the AU. Ambassador Hirut reiterated Ethiopia’s unwavering commitment to supporting the African Union in its various endeavors.

The discussion also highlighted Ethiopia’s active involvement and its strategic role in the operations of the African Union. This commitment underscores Ethiopia’s position on strengthening regional integration and collaboration among member states.
