ADDIS ABABA: Ethiopia reported earnings of $617 million from its export products over the last eight months of the current fiscal year.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, this amount represents 87.51 percent of the targeted $705.15 million. The exports supervised by the ministry included primarily cereals and oilseeds, with notable international demand increases for products such as soybean, red beans, and masho.
Additionally, an increase in sesame production and improvements in agricultural investment regulations contributed to the positive performance. This fiscal period’s earnings marked an increase of more than $80 million compared to the same timeframe last year.
