Ethiopia and USAID Discuss Progress and Future Collaborations in Lowlands Resilience


ADDIS ABABA – Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands, Abraham Belay, met with Scott Hocklander, the USAID Mission Director for Ethiopia, to discuss the ongoing Partnership for Lowlands Resilience Activity (PLRA). The minister hosted the USAID delegation for a courtesy meeting to review the project’s progress.



According to the Ethiopian News Agency, the PLRA, a three-year initiative funded by USAID, aims to enhance resilience in Ethiopia’s lowland regions. The discussions not only focused on the current achievements but also explored potential future collaborations that could extend the impact of the project. The ministry expressed enthusiasm about continuing and expanding the partnership with USAID to further support the development of the lowlands.
