Ethiopia and US Commit to Collaborative Efforts for Sudan Peace

ADDIS ABABA — Foreign Minister Ambassador Taye Astke-Selassie of Ethiopia met with the US Special Envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, in his office to discuss regional issues, particularly focusing on the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the meeting covered significant topics concerning regional stability and the ongoing unrest in Sudan. Both parties reiterated the necessity for peace and stability in the region. Foreign Minister Taye briefed the US envoy on the efforts of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister to resolve the Sudanese conflict. The discussions culminated with a mutual agreement to continue their collaboration to foster lasting peace in Sudan.
