Ethiopia and Libya Commit to Enhancing Bilateral Relations

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia and Libya have agreed to take significant steps to strengthen their bilateral relations, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in aviation and labor sectors. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mesganu Arga, and Libya’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Mohammed Issa, held on the sidelines of the 44th Executive Council meeting of the African Union.



According to the Ethiopian News Agency, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia announced that both parties have decided to revisit and reactivate previous cooperation mechanisms and to establish new avenues for political consultation. This move is seen as a crucial step towards fostering closer ties between the two countries, with an emphasis on mutual benefits and collaboration in key economic sectors.
