Ethiopia and AUDA-NEPAD Aim to Strengthen Continental Collaboration

ADDIS ABABA - Ethiopia and the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) are set to deepen their cooperation, following a meeting between Ethiopia's Foreign Affairs Minister, Taye Atske Sellasie, and AUDA-NEPAD Chief Executive Officer, Nardos Bekele Thomas. This meeting reaffirmed both parties' commitment to enhancing collaborative efforts across various sectors.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, the discussions focused on identifying key areas where Ethiopia and AUDA-NEPAD can expand their cooperation to effectively implement Agenda 2063’s priority programs. Nardos Bekele Thomas discussed the potential for expanding AUDA-NEPAD’s presence in member states to accelerate regional and continental projects, crucial for promoting integration and development across Africa. Minister Taye Atske Sellasie expressed Ethiopia's appreciation for AUDA-NEPAD’s continued support and highlighted Ethiopia's role in the AUDA-NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee, which provides strategic guidance to the agency.
