OUAGADOUGOU — In a gesture of support for Burkina Faso’s ongoing peace efforts, the General Commission of Etalon en Or has donated 1 million FCFA to the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Foresight, as reported by AIB on Friday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, who is also the president of the FSP management committee, the donation was officially received on July 26, 2024. The funds were raised during the 2nd edition of Etalon en Or on June 13, where a jersey of the Stallions of Burkina Faso was auctioned for 1 million FCFA. The General Commission’s Commissioner General Lassina Sawadogo presented the sum, which was initially pledged to be donated to the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP).

The contribution by the General Commission of Etalon en Or is aimed at aiding the government’s efforts in securing and reclaiming the Burkinabe territory amidst ongoing challenges.
