Eswatini Prime Minister Explores Aviation Partnership with Ethiopian Airlines


Addis Ababa: In a recent visit to Ethiopian Airlines, Eswatini Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini expressed interest in forging a partnership to bolster his country’s aviation sector. The visit, which coincided with the AU summit, highlighted the potential for collaboration between Eswatini and Africa’s leading carrier, Ethiopian Airlines.



According to Ethiopian News Agency,Prime Minister Dlamini praised Ethiopian Airlines for its extensive network and operational success, viewing it as a model for strengthening aviation ties between the two nations. Ethiopian Airlines, known for its expansive route map across Africa and globally, has been instrumental in developing secondary aviation hubs on the continent through strategic partnerships.



The airline has set ambitious goals to double its fleet and destination coverage by 2035, aiming to rank among the top 20 global carriers. With a revenue of 6.1 billion USD in the last fiscal year, Ethiopian Airlines continues to lead in fleet size and destination reach within Africa, positioning itself as a valuable partner for countries looking to enhance their aviation industries.
