End of Sporting and Cultural Activities at the CEB of Sanaba

Sanaba: The sports and cultural activities of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Sanaba concluded on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Sanaba A public primary school grounds, marked by a football final between the Sanaba A team and the Dio team.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Organization of Sports, Cultural and Leisure Activities at Primary School (OSCLEP) of the CEB of Sanaba wrapped up its events with a gala match between VDP/FDS and local community workers. The event also featured a parade of students from various schools in the community.

The chairman of the organizing committee, Mr. Dakuyo Wetian, representing the sponsor, Mr. Coulibaly Richard, alongside Inspector KonatE Jean, Head of the Basic Education District, spoke to highlight the significance of sports in education. They congratulated both players and organizers in the presence of the PDS and the secretary general of the commune of Sanaba.

After a competitive match, the Dio team emerged victorious against Sanaba A with a score of 2-0, claiming the trophy, medals, and other rewards. The Sanaba A team received a set of prizes for their second-place finish, while Sanaba B, in third place, was also rewarded. The fourth prize included monetary and material rewards.

In addition to football, outstanding students in athletics, including sprints and long jump, were awarded prizes. The CEB of Sanaba showed appreciation to all contributors, with notable mentions for His Majesty the Chief of the canton of Sanaba, Coulibaly Yezouma, and Alfonce Coulibaly.
