The Secretary General of the Ganzourgou province, Harouna Karambiri, representing the High Commissioner of the province, chaired a ceremony at the end of the digital and digital integration course and entrepreneurial support for young carriers of projects in Mogtédo on March 10, 2023. Initiated as part of the RESOLAB project, the ceremony was an opportunity to hand over installation kits to 60 young beneficiaries of the project.
As part of the project for the socio-economic reintegration of young people and children through the provision of digital and incubation spaces for education and access to the world of work (RESOLAB), the end of the of digital and digital integration and entrepreneurial support for 60 young entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial projects was celebrated in Mogtédo.
Extricated from the gold panning sites, these young people joined the Mogtédo innovation space where they learned innovative trades in various fields of their choice: sewing, digital embroidery, IT, electronics, IT maintenance. In order to help young people at the end of their career to set up on their own, the project provided each new entrepreneur with a work kit.
The ceremony marking the end of their integration process and the handing over of the kits was attended by local authorities, parents of beneficiaries and members of the project implementation consortium.
For the RESOLAB project manager, Abdoulaye Traoré, it is not simply a question of training and finding work for young people and children, but it is a question of creating a framework and conditions that promote their development and their integration. socioeconomic.
According to him, in the space of innovation of Mogtédo, in addition to the training workshops which are organized, this space constitutes for certain children a framework of entertainment, information and self-training.
According to Mr. Traoré, a child who enters space always emerges with the development of a basic skill. For him, space is “a springboard for knowledge, know-how and the development of expertise at the local level”.
He praised the management team for the quality of the work. “There are activities that even academics cannot do but that a child who leaves a gold panning site and who has never been to school manages to do. he testified.
Abdoulaye Traoré asked for the support of parents and local authorities to meet the challenges that remain. “Under the terms of the project, the space will always be frequented and animated with the relay of social services and the provincial directorate of youth to support the implementation of activities”, he wished.
The representative of the consortium, Mrs. Julienne Wanré/ Ouédraogo thanked the local authorities, the provincial directorate in charge of child protection, the provincial directorate of youth and the community relays for having accepted the project and supported its implementation. .
She congratulated the beneficiaries and told them that the fight begins now. “You have received the equipment, it is up to you to fight hard now to be able to fit into your field. It’s not easy, but don’t be discouraged. We will always be there to accompany you to settle down, ”she encouraged.
The representative of the beneficiaries expressed the gratitude of her peers to the initiators of the project. She thanked them for the quality of their learning and for the material received. She says she is committed to applying the skills acquired and using the equipment wisely.
The secretary general of the province, Harouna Karambiri, on behalf of the high commissioner, congratulated the “Tdh and Wakat Lab” consortium for the implementation of the project. According to him, in 34 months, the RESOLAB project has achieved enormous results and has met many challenges related to the reduction of the digital divide and the socio-economic empowerment of young people and children in Ganzourgou. He thanked the Belgian development agency Enabel for funding the project.
