Electrocution Tragedy Strikes at Nzinze Village

Kavango West Region – A 44-year-old man, Joseph Muronga, tragically lost his life due to electrocution while working at the Musese Irrigation Scheme in Nzinze village. The Namibian Police Force in the region reported the incident, stating that it happened when Muronga’s ladder contacted electricity power lines during construction work. Muronga, a resident of Mupini village and employee of Makalani Engineering company in Grootfontein, was placing iron angles on a building with a co-worker when the accident occurred.

According to Namibian Press Agency (NAMPA), The police informed his next of kin following the incident. In a separate event in the Tutungeni residential area in Rundu, the decomposed body of 53-year-old Edmund Narib, a caretaker, was discovered in a house. Narib, last seen the previous Saturday, is believed to have suffered from epilepsy. A relative, noticing a foul odour and finding the house’s doors locked, alerted the police. No foul play is suspected in Narib’s death.
