Electoral boundary delimitation: progress rate at 75%, says ISIE’s president

The rate of progress in the work of the field teams responsible for electoral boundary delimitation has reached 75 per cent, Farouk Bouasker, president of the Independent High Commission for the Elections (ISIE) said Wednesday in Mahdia. Speaking at a regional meeting to monitor the project, Bouasker estimated that these teams would complete their work in the next few days before moving on to logistical and administrative aspects. The decisions defining the boundaries of the 2085 delegations will then be published, he added. The president of the commission also said that a meeting would be held on Thursday between members of the ISIE, the Presidency and the Ministry of the Interior to discuss the drafting of these decisions, which will be published in the JORT. “The rate of progress of the work of the field teams in Mahdia is estimated at 73 per cent,” he added, noting that 73 delegations have been delimited out of a total of 99 in the region.
