Luanda: On Saturday, eighty musicians and comedians performed at the Solidarity Show in Luanda, in support of victims of flooding in the province of Benguela. Organised by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTICS), the event aimed to collect donations for families affected by flooding caused by the overflowing of the Cavaco River in Benguela.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the show began at 4 pm with a captivating performance by Erika Nelumba, who graced the stage with her song "Filha de Deus." She set the tone for the evening, which was followed by Prolet¡rio's energetic renditions of "Kimbombeia" and "Kizomba." The lively atmosphere continued as Noite e Dia performed a medley of their hits, including "Problema," "Parte a coluna," and "Ndombolo." Celso Mambo concluded the initial segment with his songs "Dos valle © o lrio" and "Como eu de agradecer."
The lineup continued with Bal³ Janu¡rio, who entertained the audience with "Casa da mana," "Casamento," and "Festa." Kanda followed with performances of "Pardon" and "Casamento," while Dom Caetano took to the stage with "Vizinho" and "Uejia Ki Usokana." The evening's performances were rounded out by Bambila, who delivered "Angua bele" and "MiscelSnea."
The Solidarity Show is part of the "Abra§o Solid¡rio" campaign, which was launched nationwide on 13 April. The campaign aims to provide much-needed support and relief to the families affected by the devastating floods.
