Cairo – Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has expressed solidarity with Angola on the occasion of its 48th national independence anniversary. In a congratulatory message to Angolan President João Lourenço, as stated in a new release, President El-Sisi highlighted the strength of bilateral relations and the desire to enhance them further.
According to Angola Press News Agency, President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of Angola’s contribution to world peace, particularly in the Arab region, and expressed Egypt’s readiness to continue cooperation in various fields. He affirmed Egypt’s commitment to meeting any needs Angola may have in its relationship with Egypt.
The political and diplomatic cooperation between Egypt and Angola was formalized on March 26, 1987, with the signing of a general Agreement on Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation in Luanda. This foundation has since guided the bilateral relations between the two countries, focusing on shared interests and mutual development.
The message from the Egyptian Head of State reinforces the strong ties between the two nations and signals Egypt’s willingness to further develop and deepen these relations, contributing to regional and international peace and cooperation.
