OUAGADOUGOU - Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou (EFO) and Rahimo FC have secured their spots in the final of the 2024 Coupe du Faso, prevailing in their respective semi-finals on Sunday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the intense capital derby between EFO and ASFA-Y was resolved by penalties at the Issoufou Joseph Conombo municipal stadium in Ouagadougou after a goalless draw in regulation and extra time. EFO emerged victorious with a 3-2 win in the shootout. In the second semi-final at the Wobi Stadium in Bobo-Dioulasso, Rahimo FC from Bama defeated the Burkina Football Training Center (CFFEB) 2-0 with late goals from Zakaria Sanogo and Aboubacar Sidiki Camara. The championship match is scheduled for July 6, where EFO will aim for their 15th title, and Rahimo FC will seek their second.
