DPCAT Celebrates Academic Excellence with Tourist Outing in Poni

Poni: The Provincial Directorate of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism (DPCAT) of Poni organized a tourist outing for the top students in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Gaoua.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the excursion included visits to several notable sites in the region, such as the traditional B´r´for habitat of the village of Bamako, the military cave, and the old colonial prison of Di©bougou. The provincial director, Albert HEMA, explained that the initiative is designed to celebrate academic achievement while encouraging students to connect with their cultural and tourist heritage.

HEMA emphasized that the outing aims to spark interest among young people in visiting these sites and to promote domestic tourism. The event is an annual tradition, now in its sixth year, and is consistently held on July 9.
