Dori Hospital to Open New Hemodialysis Center as Part of Major Healthcare Upgrades

DORI: A new hemodialysis center is set to be established at the Regional Hospital Center (CHR) in Dori, following a high-profile visit by Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, the Minister of State, Minister of National Defense and Veterans Affairs. The inauguration of key medical equipment and the laying of the foundation for the hemodialysis center marks a significant enhancement of healthcare services in the region. According to Burkina Information Agency, Brigadier General Coulibaly, accompanied by Minister of Health Dr. Robert Lucien Jean Claude Kargougou and Minister Delegate for Animal Resources Dr. Amadou Dicko, inaugurated a state-of-the-art scanner and a mobile oxygen generator during their visit. The oxygen generator boasts a capacity of more than 27 cubic meters per hour, providing a crucial resource for the hospital. The ministerial delegation's visit also included interactions with the staff of various departments, including pediatrics, operating theater, and maternity ward, highlighting the co mprehensive approach to healthcare improvement. The inauguration of the new equipment and the forthcoming hemodialysis center is seen as a vital step in bolstering the hospital's technical capabilities. Brigadier General Coulibaly acknowledged the resilience and dedication of the CHR personnel, particularly in supporting the defense and security forces. He conveyed the appreciation of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the Head of State, for the ongoing efforts of the healthcare workers in the region. The general manager of CHR Dori expressed gratitude for the government's initiatives, noting that the new equipment would significantly strengthen the hospital's services. The visit concluded with a stop at the mobile clinic, where several women received medical consultations, showcasing the broader impact of the healthcare enhancements.
