Donation of Medical Equipment Boosts Navielgane CSPS Opening

Bougouriba: The chairman of the organizing committee for the opening of the Navielgane Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), Simplice Hien, received on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Diebougou, a batch of medical equipment donated by the country director of SOS Children's Villages, SSrb¨terfa dit Maurice Some, as part of the community initiative to make the health training operational.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation includes a modern observation bed, IV poles, and patient care trays. This gesture is part of an initiative launched by the local authorities to raise funds to equip the Navielgane primary healthcare center and open it as soon as possible for the benefit of the community.

The donor described this contribution as "modest" but aimed at encouraging collective action. "Health centers are public facilities that we all need to use. It is therefore important that everyone contributes," Mr. Some stated. He emphasized the significance of community contributions in achieving substantial results and urged the preservation and transmission of this solidarity culture to future generations.

The organizing committee president, Simplice Hien, expressed his gratitude for this "highly beneficial" gesture. "This donation touches us deeply. We are appealing to other well-meaning individuals to follow suit so that we can open this health center, which will serve the entire population," he declared.

Mr. Hien also highlighted that more equipment is needed to make the facility fully operational. He invited the local community and partners to continue their support for this healthcare project.

Built by the municipality of Diebougou, the Navielgane Primary Health Center (CSPS) includes a dispensary, a maternity ward, a pharmacy, and housing for healthcare staff. Its upcoming opening is expected to significantly improve access to healthcare in the town and surrounding areas.
