Djibasso: The Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, Pascal Coulibaly, presided over a meeting on Friday, May 1, 2026, to exchange ideas with education stakeholders about the mock exams that have just taken place. According to Burkina Information Agency, the results of the mock exams reveal a success rate of 44.18% for the first exam. The second exam showed a slight improvement with a success rate of 58.32%, while the third reached a rate of 64.51%.
Despite the progress, certain disciplines, notably mathematics and French, particularly text analysis, exhibited shortcomings. The overall results indicated that 107 students scored above average in mathematics out of 341 students, and 113 students achieved an above-average grade in the same number. Major difficulties were noted, including a weak grasp of logical reasoning in mathematics and gaps in grammar and conjugation for text analysis.
To help students overcome these difficulties, several recommendations have been made. For problem-solving techniques in text studies, it is advised to review fundamental concepts in conjugation and mastery of grammar analysis techniques. Inspector Jean Zoumbara Traore invited school directors to apply the critical fortnight to find solutions to the identified educational problems. He also emphasized the importance of lesson preparation and ensuring its implementation in the classroom.
Pascal Coulibaly, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, praised the teachers for their daily efforts and encouraged them to incorporate the practical advice received during the discussions. "The objective is to offer students the best chance of success in the CEP exam of the 2026 session," according to CCEB Coulibaly.
