Djibasso Citizens Support Defense Forces with Significant Donations

Djibasso: The Djibasso Citizen Watch Committee handed over equipment and food worth 5,000,000 CFA francs to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in their mission to reclaim the territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative was an endogenous contribution by the Djibasso Citizen Watch Committee. The donation, delivered on Saturday, April 5, 2025, included food supplies such as 3 tons of rice and 20 cans of oil, alongside military equipment like a surveillance drone, 11 walkie-talkie radios, and 3 binoculars. The total value of the donation amounted to 5,000,000 CFA francs.

Additionally, four hangars were constructed for the VDP. Soumala Ganam©, the first vice-president of the special delegation of the commune of Djibasso, received the donations and handed them over to the head of the detachment to be used effectively in their mission.

Second Lieutenant Moumouni Ou©draogo expressed gratitude on behalf of his superiors to the Djibasso population for their support. The head of the detachment also called for increased vigilance among the population.
