Pont De H©r©dougou: The Director General of Transport Infrastructure, Mr. Moumouni ILBOUDO, conducted a visit to the bridge construction site in H©r©dougou as part of a supervision tour across three regions in the country. The visit aimed at monitoring the progress of major structural projects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. ILBOUDO observed the progress of the H©r©dougou bridge construction. Significant milestones have been reached, such as the construction of discharge works on each side of the main bridge, the completion of three out of the four spans of the main bridge, and a 75% improvement on intermediate supports. These achievements reflect the effective collaboration between the company responsible for execution and the control mission.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. ILBOUDO acknowledged the dedication of the teams on site and emphasized maintaining, or even accelerating, the pace of work in anticipation of the rainy season. “The rainy season is approaching, which could compromise certain technical stages. I therefore call on all stakeholders to redouble their efforts to secure critical structures before the first floods,” he stated.
The mission is part of a larger initiative to closely monitor transport infrastructure to ensure adherence to deadlines, quality of works, and optimal use of public resources. The completion of the H©r©dougou bridge is expected to significantly enhance population mobility, facilitate the opening up of certain localities, and strengthen economic exchanges in the region.
