Barcelona: The Angolan ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Balbina da Silva, recently highlighted in Barcelona the ongoing structural reforms in the country to boost the process of economic diversification, improve the business environment, and attract foreign investment. Speaking at the conference themed "Africa: The Unmissable Destination for International Investors," organized by the Board of Directors of the Euro Africa Center, the diplomat noted that Angola is currently a stable, safe, and open destination for Spanish companies, as well as European companies at large. According to Angola Press News Agency, the diplomat described Spain as a natural partner of Africa, emphasizing the country's technological and entrepreneurial capabilities. She also highlighted the efforts of the Angolan Embassy in promoting business missions, fostering institutional contacts, and establishing strategic partnerships. She identified energy and energy transition, agro-industry, tourism, infrastructure and logistics, and di gital technologies as key sectors experiencing growth in bilateral cooperation. Balbina da Silva stressed that investing in Africa has become a strategic necessity for those aiming to expand and diversify, reiterating Angola's readiness to serve as a primary gateway to the continent's new development cycle. Furthermore, she highlighted Africa's pivotal role in global transformation, asserting that the region has transitioned from being a mere promise to becoming a space for tangible growth. She pointed out the strategic resources and new infrastructures that are currently repositioning the continent within the global economy. On the sidelines of the event, the ambassador engaged with the Director-General of the Euro-Africa Center, along with members of the Scientific and Expert Committee of the entity. The main aim of this organization is to promote and strengthen economic, educational, and cultural ties between Africa and Europe.
