Ouagadougou: Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, met with a delegation from the organizing committee of the 2nd Forum of Diaspora Entrepreneurs on Thursday to discuss the outcome of the forum, which took place on September 20 and 21 in Bobo-Dioulasso. The event focused on the theme “Investments by the Diaspora in Current Burkina Faso: Business Opportunities and Patriotism.”
According to Burkina Information Agency, Romuald Sawadogo, President of the forum’s organizing committee, reported that President Traoré expressed satisfaction with the willingness of Burkinabe expatriates to invest in their homeland. During the meeting, the delegation raised concerns about administrative obstacles hindering diaspora investments, particularly delays in processing documents. Sawadogo noted that the President was receptive to these concerns and committed to streamlining the process to facilitate faster investment approvals.
