Tapoa: The special delegation of Diapaga mobilizes the population to clean up and build a flagpole. At the call of the president of the special delegation of Diapaga, Yambi Bamogo, the people of Diapaga, in a surge of patriotism and citizenship, stormed the esplanade of the Diapaga town hall for a dual activity: to clean up the town and to build a flagpole to raise the colors of the nation high.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 1st, FDS, VDP, youth associations, administrative, customary, and religious authorities mobilized to reaffirm their commitment to the nation's values and restore Diapaga to its former glory, despite the security context. Divided into three groups, the first group made the bricks to build the pedestal of the mast, the second group cleaned up the town hall, while the third group uprooted the old mast to place it on the new site planned for this purpose.

For Yambi Bamogo, raising the colors and making the city clean is also defending the homeland. This initiative, the municipal authority continued, is patriotic because it instills civic values in citizens by involving the population in the maintenance of their living environment. It also aims to combat diseases linked to unsanitary conditions during the winter season. It also promotes social cohesion by bringing together security forces, volunteers, and civilians around a common action.

Yambi Bamogo also stated: "The flag is the symbol of resistance. It must fly high in Diapaga, and cleanliness is everyone's business." He appealed to all the young people of Diapaga so that this August 1st would not be the only day of cleanliness, but that every week, in every sector, in every family, cleanliness would become a habit.
