Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragogiannis’ visit to Cyprus (11.10.2022)

Energy cooperation between Greece and Cyprus as well as the development of joint projects to address current challenges and promote security and stability in the wider region were at the centre of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis’ discussion with Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides, during their meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in Nicosia.

Moreover, the two Ministers discussed the latest developments in Ukraine and Ankara’s ongoing inflammatory rhetoric, confirming the convergence of views between Greece and Cyprus in dealing with them, with full respect for the principles of International Law and International Legality.

During his visit to Cyprus, the Deputy Minister was a keynote speaker at an event for young entrepreneurs titled “Ge’Neo Epiheirein”, co-organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Thessalonikis Dromena magazine. Ten young entrepreneurs. who developed innovative ideas in the fields of high technology, trade, industry and culture, were awarded.

Mr. Fragogiannis enthusiastically, addressed the young entrepreneurs, both the award -winners, and those aspiring to be- congratulating them on their success and encouraging them to continue their activities in the demanding business sector. Citing Aristotle and his analysis of young people’s emotions, morals, and passions, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of generosity, humility, and optimism as essential qualities of young people, which, when combined with ability and consistent effort, are a guaranteed recipe for success.

The Deputy Minister also met with entrepreneurs with whom he discussed prospects for further enhancing the Greek business presence in Cyprus.
