Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kostas Fragogiannis’ address, at the Greece-Albania Business Forum (Athens, 18.11.2022)

Greece’s political will for strong bilateral economic relations with Albania and support for the Albanian economy through the vibrant Greek investment presence in the country was expressed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, in his address to the Greek-Albanian Forum, held in Athens today, Friday, November 18.

The Deputy Minister spoke about Greece’s strategic economic and trade relationship with Albania, emphasizing Greece’s significant contribution to the country’s economic development and the prosperity of the Albanian people over the last 25 years through trade, business partnerships, strategic investments, and development cooperation.

Mr. Fragogiannis also referred to the 367 active Greek and joint Greek-Albanian companies that are currently operating in Albania and expressed optimism for further strengthening, expansion, and diversification of economic relations in many more sectors.

“I welcome the signing of the two Memoranda of Understanding between the Athens and Tirana Chambers (ACCI & CCIT) as well as between Enterprise Greece and its Albanian corresponding agency AIDA, which will take place during today’s Forum”, stated the Deputy Minister.

The Forum was jointly organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Athens and Tirana, in cooperation with the Embassy of Albania in Athens and was attended and addressed by Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, Minister of Finance and Economy of Albania Delina Ibrahimaj and Mr. Fragogiannis’ Albanian counterpart Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Megi Fino.
