Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis’ working visit to Norway (14-16.02.2022)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, will travel to Norway on a working visit on February 14 and 15, 2022, while he will remain in Oslo on February 16 to accompany Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias in his contacts in the Norwegian capital.

Mr. Fragogiannis will have meetings with the leadership of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, with representatives of the Norwegian business world as well as with Greek entrepreneurs operating in the country to discuss possibilities for enhancing bilateral trade and investment as well as strengthening cooperation in the areas of research and innovation.

In particular, today, Monday, February 14, the Deputy Minister is meeting with the CEO of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Harald Solberg and the Director of International Cooperation and Climate, Helene Tofte, and then he will have an introduction meeting with Greek entrepreneurs and the President of the local Greek Community, Ioannis Aliferis. Finally, Mr. Fragogiannis will meet with Ms. Elisabeth Grieg, Head of the Grieg Group, which operates in the field of shipping, energy with an emphasis on innovation and logistics.

On Tuesday, February 15, the Deputy Minister will hold meetings with representatives of the Norwegian Business Association, with Hakon Haugli, CEO of Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Government’s most important body for Extroversion and Innovation and with Hans Gude Gudesen, founder of Ocean Geoloop-a company that has developed an innovative carbon dioxide power system.

On Wednesday, February 16, Mr. Fragogiannis will accompany Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias to his meetings with Norwegian government and Parliament officials and will attend Mr. Dendias’ speech at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI)
