Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis visited Pristina on Wednesday, April 13, with the aim of further extending cooperation in economic and trade relations with Kosovo.
In the meetings with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and governmental officials the prospects for boosting the activity of Greek businesses in the region were examined. To this end Deputy Minister Fragogiannis and the Kosovar Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kreshnik Ahmeti signed a relevant declaration of intent. The two sides also discussed the organization of the first targeted business forum to be held in Athens in the near future. The forum will focus mainly on the areas of energy, trade, and tourism.
In addition to the enhancement of bilateral trade, discussions also focused on issues of energy cooperation with emphasis on renewable energy sources, as well as issues of mutual interest concerning education and culture.
During his visit in Pristina, Mr. Fragogiannis also held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gervalla-Schwarz and held talks with the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, and the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, during the working lunch hosted by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Mr. Ahmeti.
