Democratic Republic of Congo Surpasses Tax Revenue Target
KINSHASA: The Democratic Republic of Congo has reported a substantial increase in tax revenue, amounting to 8,039 billion Congolese francs (approximately $3.2 billion) for the first nine months of the fiscal year 2023.
According to Africa News Agency, this figure represents a 74% achievement rate against a target of 10,843 billion Congolese francs (around $4.1 billion) set for the period in question. Under the 2023 Finance Law, the government’s aim to raise 12,833.9 billion FC in tax revenue is significantly supported by the mining sector’s performance.
