Dédougou: A hundred plants planted at the Diocesan Medical Center Mgr Zéphyrin Toé

The staff of the diocesan medical center Mgr Zéphyrin Toé of Dédougou organized on Saturday August 12, 2023 in Dédougou, a reforestation activity within the said center. In total, around a hundred plants of all species were planted.

Far from their gowns, gloves, syringes and other care equipment, the staff of the diocesan medical center Mgr Zéphyrin Toé of Dédougou marked a pose on Saturday August 12, 2023 to further green their workplace by planting a hundred plants. .

“We know that the environment is very important for health and this will allow our patients to have a green space in order to be able to enjoy a fairly peaceful atmosphere which is also very important for healing and for moral health, physical and mental,” explained the head of the centre, Abbé Jean Zougouri.

He pointed out that for this reforestation operation, species such as the flamboyant were planted in order to beautify and have shade inside the courtyard, acacias all along the limit of the center estate in question in order to be able to benefit not only from shade but from wood for the future.

There are also fruit trees including guava and lemon trees.

For the protection and maintenance of the trees, each agent has been made responsible.

“We asked each agent to be able to personally take care of his tree, secure it, water it and also take into account all the factors so that it evolves better”, said Father.

After the planting of the plants, the head of the medical center took the opportunity to salute the great mobilization of the staff for this reforestation operation. He wanted this mobilization to always be significant for the centre’s various activities.

“This activity that we have just carried out will give another face to our structure, improve our environment thanks to the mobilization and commitment of each and everyone,” he concluded.

The diocesan medical center Monsignor Zéphyrin TOE, inaugurated on December 21, 2015, aims to provide health care for the populations of the city of Dédougou, the pastoral agents of the diocese of Dédougou and the populations of the entire region of the Boucle du Mouhoun.
