Mouhoun: The D©dougou Municipal Polyvalent High School organized an aerobics session on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the joint initiative of the administration and the teaching staff, as part of the promotion of health and the strengthening of internal cohesion of the staff. Part of a dynamic that has been underway for over three years, this activity brings together all staff every Wednesday evening for group physical exercises.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative aims to encourage the adoption of health-promoting behaviors, strengthen professional relationships, and establish a harmonious working environment conducive to better coordination of educational actions. Today's session was attended by the regional director of secondary education and vocational and technical training, as well as the provincial director of Mouhoun.
The headmaster of the institution, Ousmane Ou©draogo, indicated that this initiative constitutes a privileged framework for bringing together stakeholders, in service of the proper functioning of the institution. In this regard, he praised the commitment of the sports committee, which works regularly to ensure the success of the activity.
The provincial director in charge of Secondary Education in Mouhoun, Aude Claudine Ki/Ou©draogo, described the initiative as relevant. She emphasized that this initiative promotes regular exercise, contributes to stress reduction, and helps prevent cardiovascular disease. Mr. Ki also urged stakeholders to sustain this momentum, essential for long-term health and improved performance in fulfilling educational missions.
The regional director in charge of Secondary Education in Bankui, Raoul Sanon, noted that the promotion of sport in the professional environment must be understood as a strategic lever of governance, particularly in educational institutions. "A staff in good physical and mental health is a determining factor in efficiency, stability, and performance," he said. Mr. Sanon also highlighted the unifying role of such initiatives, which help to strengthen team spirit, prevent professional tensions, and promote an organizational culture based on solidarity and shared responsibility.
For about thirty minutes, the participants performed various aerobic sequences to the rhythm of the music, in a friendly atmosphere. This activity thus offered them a moment of relaxation, well-being, and physical exertion, contributing to their balance and professional commitment.
