OUAGADOUGOU — Daniel Zita Bonzi officially assumed the role of Director General of the Private Press Support Fund (FAPP) yesterday, with a formal installation ceremony overseen by Adama 1ère Jumelle Segda, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Bonzi, appointed on August 14, replaces Ag Ibrahim Mohamed, who was praised for his years of service at FAPP. The ceremony included commendations for both the outgoing and incoming directors, with Ms. Segda extending her best wishes to Mr. Bonzi for success in his new responsibilities. The Private Press Support Fund, established in 2016 as a public institution by the Burkinabe government, is dedicated to providing financial and technical support to qualifying private media outlets.
