GAOUA – In a recent local event, Da Yeri, the acclaimed winner of the Kundé de l’spérance 2024, showcased her trophy to journalists at the RTB/Sud-Ouest premises.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the presentation, which took place on Monday, July 22, 2024, was an opportunity to express gratitude towards her supporters from Gaoua who played a pivotal role in her national recognition. The artist, whose real name is Yeri Angèle Da, spoke about the joy and motivation that comes from receiving such an honor. “I give thanks to God. When you do work that is rewarded, it gives pleasure and strength. I am very happy,” she remarked during the ceremony. In addition to her community and journalists, Da Yeri credited her success to the comprehensive support from her hometown.
With an eye on future success, Da Yeri and her manager, Adama Cissé, are laying out plans for a regional tour in the South West to further establish her presence. The tour aims to solidify her reputation locally before branching out internationally. Cissé emphasized the importance of community involvement in building the artist’s profile. “The artist is from the region, it is important to make himself known to his people. We cannot do anything without involving the South-West,” he stated, highlighting the strategic approach to nurturing the artist’s career with local roots as the foundation for broader aspirations.
