The President of the Transition of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goïta, granted, this Friday, April 7, 2023, early in the morning, an audience with the Burkinabé Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.
“It is a great honor for us to be received by the President of the Transition, His Excellency Colonel Assimi Goïta”, rejoiced the Burkinabè Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism.
The purpose of this visit was to express all the gratitude of the highest authorities of Burkina Faso, to the Malian President of the Transition as well as to the Malian people for their participation and their immense contribution to the success of the 28th edition of the Pan-African Film Festival. and Ouagadougou television (FESPACO).
“Mali, which was the guest of honor, had an extraordinary participation. We organized this 28th edition in all fraternity and it was a great success”, confided the Burkinabè emissary, who left “extremely comforted by this audience granted to us by the Head of State, who, once more, shared with us his vision, but also his orientations”.
During this hearing, said Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, President Goïta provided advice.
According to the vision of the Malian Head of State, of course, true solidarity must reign between the Malian people and the people of Burkina Faso, but the two peoples must be driven by patriotism, which can only be built hard on culture.
“This is why the President of the Transition has invited us to work hard so that these two peoples can come together around what makes their identity, namely culture,” said the Burkinabè Minister of Communication. , Culture, Arts and Tourism.
This audience was also an opportunity for the Malian President of the Transition to give directions so that the two Ministers of Culture, that of Mali and that of Burkina Faso, can work in harmony “so that culture is ahead of all actions and that it can carry our vision of patriotism, sovereignty and free us from all that may appear as an obstacle, which can prevent us from walking resolutely towards the happiness of our fellow citizens, the development of our country ” , concluded Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.
Arrived Thursday, April 6 in Bamako, Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and his delegation were first received by the Malian Prime Minister, Choguel Kokalla Maïga.
For the Burkinabè minister, the remarkable participation of the Malian delegation headed by Prime Minister Maïga at Fespaco 2023 shows that the Malian and Burkinabè peoples are committed to working hand in hand for the promotion of African cultural identity.
Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maïga thanked the delegation and the government of Burkina Faso for this important symbolic act that characterizes African society.
He also thanked the people of Burkina Faso for the welcome given to his delegation at Fespaco 2023.
According to him, the authorities of the two countries have no other concern than to respond to the aspirations of their peoples.
