Pouni: Koirab©r© College in Pouni inaugurated its Cultural Week on April 1, 2025, with a ceremony featuring the raising of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem in the Nuni language. The event was graced by the president of the special delegation of the commune of Pouni (PDS), Nadine Badiel, along with the commander of the Territorial Brigade of Gendarmerie, Gaoussou Sanou, and the district police commissioner, Noumouti¨ Lamien.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Cultural Week activities at Koirab©r© College are scheduled from April 1st to 6th. During the opening ceremony, the PDS addressed the students, emphasizing the values of civic duty and patriotism, and encouraged them to be exemplary citizens for the future of Burkina Faso.
Following the flag ceremony, the students engaged in community service by cleaning the town hall, the People's Recreation Center, and the streets of Pouni. They also interacted with the elders to gain insights into the history of their village.
The Cultural Week will continue with a conference on civics and patriotism in schools, scheduled for Thursday. This will be followed by a math competition on Friday and a fair on Saturday, rounding out the week's events.
