Luanda: The Plenary of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSMJ) decided, on Wednesday, in Luanda, to annul the public entrance exam for employees of the Courts of Common Jurisdiction, citing irregularities in the process.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the decision emerged from an ordinary meeting of the CSMJ, during which the plenary evaluated information from the recommendation issued by the 7th Extraordinary Session of the body. The annulment is grounded in the terms of numbers 2 and 5 of article 4 of the Career Regulations of the Special Regime for Officials of Justice, sanctioned by a Presidential Decree.
In the same session, the plenary resolved to initiate a new public competition, which will be conducted via a written test. A jury consisting of magistrates and specialized technicians from the justice sector will oversee this process. Judge Cl¡udia Domingos will preside over the jury, with Judge Maria Castelo Branco serving as vice-president.
The jury also includes members Pedro Ant³nio, Nuno Pinheiro, Victor Dias, and Domingos Barros Salomao. The Superior Council of the Judiciary has announced that the competition regulations are currently in preparation. These regulations will be submitted for approval by the Plenary and subsequently published on the institution’s official page.
