Mbanza kongo: Over 700 kilograms of cannabis were seized in the early hours of Wednesday by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo, Zaire province.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the SIC spokesperson, Jos© Bernardo Bebeto, stated that the seizure is the result of a micro-operation carried out by the agency's personnel in the village of Nzau-€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬°vua, Nkiende commune.

During the operation, three men and one woman, aged between 27 and 78, were arrested, accused of drug trafficking and other illicit practices in the aforementioned locality. In addition to more than 700 kilograms of marijuana, 250 plants of the same product, known locally as liamba, and a firearm of the shotgun type were also seized and incinerated.

The village of Nzau-€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬°vua is located about 45 km from the city of Mbanza Kongo, the capital of the province of Zaire.
